Where we work
Dadaab and its host communities
Dadaab Refugee Camps, Garissa County, Kenya
Dadaab, in Garissa County, north-eastern Kenya, is home to some of the country's largest refugee camps. The surrounding area is arid and drought-prone, and both refugees and the host communities around the camps face food insecurity, climate shocks and few ways to earn a living.
About 70% of the households we support directly are refugee families and 30% are from the host community, so the benefits of our work are shared across both.
