About us
About KilimoVision
KilimoVision is a nonprofit organisation that works with refugee and host-community families in the Dadaab refugee camps, Garissa County, Kenya, to improve food security, nutrition and livelihoods. Through climate-smart food production, farmer training and school gardens, we help families grow nutritious food, earn a better living and give their children a healthier start, using practical, low-cost solutions that the community leads.
Who we are
Rooted in community, growing resilience
KilimoVision works in the Dadaab refugee camps and the host communities around them in Garissa County, north-eastern Kenya. It is an arid, drought-prone region where families face hunger, climate shocks and few ways to earn a living.
Since 2023 we have worked with households, smallholder farmers and schools to grow more nutritious food, build practical climate-smart skills and make sure children get the nutrition they need to grow and learn.

How we work
Practical solutions, shaped by the people who use them
Four principles guide every project we run, from a household garden to a school plot.
Community led
Communities help shape and run our projects, so the solutions fit local needs and last.
Climate smart
Practices that cope with heat and drought and make the most of scarce water and soil.
Nutrition focused
We measure success by better diets and healthier children, not just bigger harvests.
Low cost and practical
Simple, affordable methods that families can keep using on their own.
